Counselor Education: The Department of Counselor Education at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill a half-time doctoral teaching internship position in the Master of Science Program in Counseling. Responsibilities of this half-time position include teaching two classes each semester, service to the department, and engagement with personal research agenda.  Concurrently, academic program requirements for the internship will be integrated with the position.  Supervision will be provided by a senior faculty member at UWW in conjunction with the academic supervisor at the home institution.  The successful candidate will be in their final year of doctoral program, interested in learning more about the faculty role in a Master’s Level CACREP-accredited program, and committed to active participation with the department.  A $20,000 stipend is offered for the academic year.

START DATE: August 2022.

THE COUNSELOR EDUCATION DEPARTMENT has 7 full-time faculty members, a master’s level counseling clinic manager and a doctoral intern. The master’s program includes a 60-credit curriculum in school counseling, and a 60-credit program in clinical mental health counseling. The counseling program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and other Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The school counseling program, additionally, is accredited by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
