The Department of Counseling and Human Services is searching for an experienced counselor educator to lead the department in preparing counselors, educators, and researchers for clinical practice (MA) or for clinical leadership, teaching and research (PhD) to serve an increasingly pluralistic, changing, and global society. The Counseling Department has two CACREP-accredited programs, M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.  The position will be at the Associate Professor rank, tenure track, or commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Applicants must meet CACREP standards for core counseling faculty. Applicants must have administrative experience at the departmental level or higher. Preference will be given to administrative experience as CACREP Program Director or Chair. We highly desire a candidate with a history of effective teaching and leadership in a CACREP accredited program, with a strong ability to mentor MA and PhD students. In addition, we highly desire candidates who possess an area of expertise demonstrated by a record of publications in peer-reviewed academic journals and presentations at ACA-related conferences.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong history of leadership in the counseling profession, community service, and social justice advocacy.
