Position Details
Position Title – Assistant Professor – Counseling
Department – Counseling
Location – MUGC – MU Graduate College
Salary Range – $50,000
Job Description: Responsibilities will include teaching live on-campus, online courses and virtually as well as advising. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong professional identity as a counselor who participates in scholarship, research, professional service, university service, and community service activities.
Required Qualifications: Doctorate in Counseling, preferably Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology or highly related field. Preference given to those from a CACREP accredited program. ABD will be considered with a definite timeline for completion. Licensure and experience as a school counselor and/or LPC is required. A demonstrated record of face-to-face and online teaching, scholarly activities, and clear potential for success in graduate education is preferred. Preference will be given to those who have taught in online and virtual environments. Experience in supervising practicum and internship counselor education students at the graduate level is preferred.
Candidates interviewing on campus must have official transcripts (UG & G) forwarded directly to the chair of the search committee by their degree granting institutions, prior to virtual interview.
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
