Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Clinical
Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program. This position will serve as a full-time faculty
member in the CMHC program with teaching, service and scholarly responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor position is a teaching position in the graduate program which includes
teaching a 4-4 load in Fall & Spring terms. As a faculty member at the institution, service in
program, college and university committees is required which includes advising, admissions and
curricular service opportunities. Service in the community or with professional organizations is
also highly valued. As a faculty member at the institution, scholarly activities are required which
can include empirical publications, conference presentations and supporting student research.
Applicants with research & practical experience in advocacy and social justice will be
considered strong candidates for this position.
The candidate for this position needs to have graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling, Counselor
Education or Counselor Education & Supervision program or have a related doctoral degree
and have been employed as full-time faculty members in a counselor education program for a
minimum of one full academic year. Candidates who have completed degrees from a CACREP-accredited program are preferable.
