Liberty University, one of the largest private, non-profit universities in the United States, seeks to fill multiple positions immediately to teach online as adjunct faculty members. The online classes begin in mid-October. All positions will be in the School of Behavioral Sciences Online Division in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies. The Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies seeks qualified candidates to teach in the online environment counseling and school counseling courses in Liberty’s quickly growing graduate counseling programs. These adjunct faculty opportunities are part-time positions, and faculty members will not be expected to be in residence to teach these online courses, although voluntary opportunities to teach on campus may be available.
These faculty members will teach courses within the counseling departments each semester as assigned and based on the needs of the program. Teaching responsibilities will include preparing and disseminating weekly announcements, communicating with students via e-mails, preparing course videos, moderating discussion board forums, and grading weekly.
A doctoral degree in counseling or related field is required, preferably in Counselor Education and Supervision. Preference will be given to those from a CACREP accredited program.
