Concordia University Chicago seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate faculty position in their CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program. Concordia-Chicago is located in River Forest, IL, a picturesque suburb of Chicago. The expected start date of this position is July 1, 2019.

The faculty member will teach graduate courses in counselor education, supervise practicum and internship students, coordinate the on-campus counseling center, and provide service and outreach to the university and to the profession. The ideal candidate will identify strongly as a Counselor/Counselor Educator and have some experience in teaching group counseling, multicultural counseling and practicum courses, and in supervising master level counseling students.

Minimum Experience Required: 2-3 years experience in a counseling and/or education setting; experience teaching adult learners in a graduate environment in the classroom and/or online is favorable.

Education Requirements: Ph.D. or Ed.D. Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision or a closely related field. Professional clinical licensure or eligibility for licensure in IL required; LCPC preferred.
